Your impact

A Principal is responsible for providing consulting services in the Water Infrastructure market across the ANZ region. As a principal you are responsible for fostering a team environment to provide 

planning, project and design management services to our focus clients. As a principal you will actively engage with leadership, sales and market solutions to drive business development, support in 

work winning activities including client engagement, opportunity ‘go no go’ assessments, supporting bids, proposals and commercial negotiations to grow our client portfolios. 

The Principal Project Manager is responsible for managing complex multidisciplinary packages of work, has extensive experience working on projects of high complexity, and has a proven ability to 

manage risks that have the potential to impact on desired business and project outcomes. The Principal Project Manager is responsible for project delivery, maintaining strong client relationships and 

driving leadership within the team by cultivating a culture of excellence, capability building and inclusion through quality work and successful projects. Driving business initiatives and “best for project” 

outcomes while aiming to meet client expectations and manage reputation is also key to this role. The Principal Project Manager is also aligned with the Major Project Delivery Career Framework 

Maintaining and growing existing client relationships (internal and external) through an understanding of client needs and effective communication is a requirement of the principal. The principal also 

supports ANZ Water and the wider ANZ group to develop team capability via knowledge sharing and providing opportunities for the team to broaden their experiences to grow capability & resilience to 

market changes. 

With an uncompromising approach to safety and welfare, you will lead and support safety initiatives and drive Jacobs Beyond Zero culture of caring and implement Jacobs shared values. You will 

support the Jacobs water group to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross‐geography relationship building and work sharing in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our 

clients and our people. 

Here's what you'll need

As a Principal Project Manager you will: 

? Provide hands on project management with multidisciplinary experience and knowledge sharing to build capability 

? Ensure project work complies with the scope, statutory/regulatory requirements and client standards as well as safety in design processes and requirements 

? Be responsible for implementing Jacobs QA procedures and client QA requirements 

? Monitor and report on project progress, risks, issues and project financial performance 

? Meet commercial outcomes by managing time, cost, budget and change management 

? Facilitate the production of documentation to enable clients to progress projects such as construction, support field work of clients and their contractors during commissioning as required.
