As a global engineering firm, RINA specializes in providing consulting engineering services for the renewable energy sector. We offer a comprehensive range of services to investors, lenders, developers, and asset owners, covering wind energy (on-shore and off-shore), photovoltaic solar, and energy storage technologies.
The Senior Consultant role will focus on delivering services within the renewable energy sector, serving as either an Owner's Engineer or Independent Engineer. Responsibilities may include conducting feasibility studies, project design, project development services, technical due diligence, construction monitoring, acceptance testing, performance and operational services, as well as participation in winning and delivering new projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Coordination
Support execution of technical due diligence or Owner’s Engineer services on large scale energy storage, solar PV and /or wind projects for Investors, Lenders, IPPs and Developers Monitoring and reporting on projects through the construction and operational phases Providing technical engineering support on projects at all stages of the project development cycle Reviewing or developing (as per candidate’s specific experience) of energy resource assessment reports, technology assessments, structural studies, electrical design, contractual documentation, environmental studies, planning permission, health and safety reports, or grid connection documentation Contributing to business development activities i.e. development of new solutions, proposal writing and client presentations. Play an active role in the development of the RINA renewables team in Australasia.Setting the standard
Progressing our best practice and working standards for consulting within RINA Developing in-house tools for delivering and managing work effectively Establishing guidelines for consultants to follow and training them to achieve a consistent approach/output.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in STEM subjects, Masters or PhD in related subject advantageous Eligibility to live and work in Australia (e.g. Australian citizen/PR or holder of an Australian working visa) Minimum of 8 years’ relevant career experience Substantial knowledge and experience in relation to at least one of wind energy, solar PV or energy storage technologies Prior experience in senior owners engineering or independent engineering (including technical due diligence) roles at an engineering consultancy advantageous
