About the role

We seek an enthusiastic and passionate professional who is ready to take the next step in their Sales career in an iconic 5-star Adelaide hotel and be a part of the growing Adelaide Hospitality and Tourism industry by embarking on a career journey with Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide in our driven Sales Team.

The Sales & Events Coordinator role’s core function is to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Sales team to assist the continual drive towards our competitive sales targets. We offer a fast-paced and fun working environment, where any ambitious Sales professional will thrive.

This position reports to the Area Director of Sales.

Core requirements of your role 

  • Play an active role in supporting Business Development Managers to response to Corporate and MICE RFPs, including collating tender information and the send off of documents through various tender portals
  • Invoicing administration including processing purchase requisitions, and maintaining a purchase requisition log
  • Attend and actively participate in various Sales meeting, including secretarial duties such as minute taking and distribution
  • Assist the Sales Team to develop, maintain and enhance existing client relationships
  • Support and at times, independently conduct site inspections and hotel familiarisations as required
  • Thorough day-to-day management and filtering of incoming and outgoing communication channels, such as calls and emails to ensure all requests are flagged, prioritised and responded to accordingly
  •  Ad hoc reporting duties to enhance overall Sales tracking and oversight for the benefit and use of the wider Sales Team

  • Can be flexible with their availability and is able to work at times that may stray from standard business hours, as required
  • Has Delphi & Opera knowledge (desirable)
  • Holds full and unrestricted Australian working rights
