Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel nestled along the stunning Cairns waterfront, overlooking Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet. The Role

  • Carry out security patrols of the hotel, pier complex, and hotel perimeter, ensuring the safety and security of all guests and staff.
  • Assist with guest car parking, baggage handling, and other front desk tasks during your shift.
  • Attend to guest needs and requests, providing exceptional service throughout the night.
  • Respond to security incidents, fire panels, and emergency events, and assist with incident reporting and investigations.
  • Provide a calm, reassuring presence to guests, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment during the night.
  • Maintain professionalism and pride in your grooming and work ethic.

What Makes You Perfect for This Role:

  • Proven experience as a Security Officer, with a valid Queensland Security License.
  • Availability to work from 11 pm to 7 am, including weekends and public holidays.
  • A current C Class driver’s license and current First Aid qualifications.
  • Knowledge of fire panels and emergency response procedures.
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment is a plus, though all relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle security-related incidents calmly and efficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
