Financial Accountant and Analyst

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play the lead finance role for our labour hire and RTO operations. You will partner with the General Manager to drive growth and make your mark on the business.
This means that you will:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department and oversee the financial transactions and reporting within the company; and manage cash flows.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks, implement effective risk management policies and procedures, and ensure the organisation's financial security.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, measure performance, and evaluate financial efficacy of business initiatives. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management. This will include P&L & cash flow reporting, month end analysis.
- Develop comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads. Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with operations and external stakeholders. Ensure that the financing needs of the company are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the broader finance team to adopt best practice and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Your Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Commerce, Business, or Accounting.
- A recognised Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant.
- Tenacity, passion, and pace – this is a strong business partnering opportunity and we are looking for the right person to make an impact.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of P&L drivers of performance.
- Strong focus on process improvement and driving efficiencies.
- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of financial reporting packages.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines.
