Business Analysts, under the direction of WorkSafe Project Managers, Lead and Senior Business Analysts are responsible for providing business analysis services and delivering defined outputs to support the delivery of the WorkSafe Strategy program. As a Business Analyst, you will be:

  • Developing and deliver business analysis deliverables including requirement specifications and process, in accordance with the project delivery framework and methodologies.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new business processes and applications, and enhancements to existing processes and applications.
  • Under direction from Lead Business Analysts, Senior Business Analysts & Strategy Project Managers, collaboratively contribute to deliver high-quality business outcomes for WorkSafe using facilitation skills, with a strong focus on innovation and the client experience.
  • Proactively identify, document, and prepare recommendations and alternatives to address existing and potential risk in operating models, processes and technology solutions across the organisation to Lead Business Analyst, Product Owners and Project Manager.
  • Communicate business analysis outcomes so that these are well understood and agreed by all impacted stakeholders and project team members.

About you

You have proven experience in business analysis techniques, methods and tools e.g. requirements elicitation and analysis, requirements management, process analysis and modelling, process improvement, business process redesign, use case modelling, data analysis and modelling, cost benefit analysis, decision analysis and root cause analysis.

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Practical experience in waterfall and/or agile project delivery frameworks / methodologies, and ability to bring ‘fresh’ ideas to the project team and BA Practice, including solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Business Analysis involvement across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships at mid to senior technical capability level.
  • Proven experience in the estimation and planning of Requirements Management, Analysis and Documentation activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to be accountable for highly complex pieces of work, work autonomously, work with some ambiguity and still deliver quality outcomes.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage competing priorities within tight timeframes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary degree (e.g. Information Systems, Computer Science, Business)
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CCBA, Six Sigma, OCEB 2, CSM)
