The Opportunity

CPP is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Accountant to play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of our diverse portfolio of projects.

Reporting to the Project Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of all financial aspects of your projects, offering strategic analysis and guidance to ensure financial targets are met. As a key financial partner, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to support their reporting needs and provide critical insights to senior management. Your proactive and solutions-driven mindset will be essential as you work alongside Project Managers on projects of varying scope and complexity, delivering financial oversight and actionable analysis to achieve financial objectives.

We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Senior Project Accountant with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to join our Finance team. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact by guiding financial performance across multiple key projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (or similar) or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • 5+ years experience in Project Accounting, Management Accounting or similar role 
  • A proactive approach and strong communication, with the ability to engage with key stakeholders across various levels 
  • Previous experience in analysing financial data to assist project costs forecasting and assessing risks
  • Proven ability in preparation of reports, working to tight monthly deadlines and supporting project delivery teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/project costing softwares
