Role Purpose:

To drive and deliver strategic and tactical marketing communications activity for the Good Acts Squad. Within the agile operating model, this role will sit in the Brand Communications Chapter and be deployed to the Woolworths Tribe/Good Acts Squad to develop and deliver the marketing strategy and marketing communications activity, aligned to defined objectives for the Good Acts Squad.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and manage the development of marketing strategies, objectives and customer experiences, using data-led insights from both customer and business, leading to the development and delivery of a program of Marketing Communications activity (campaigns) in the market for the Good Acts Squad. Partner with the Good Acts PO and Woolworths Tribe Lead in optimising the blend of short and long-term objectives within strategic Marketing Communications campaigns and propositions  Define and manage how these objectives manifest in campaigns and always-on comms across all areas of the Woolworths Group business.  Working with relevant stakeholders and channel SMEs, develop and drive the Marketing Strategy and Brief development for Squad deliverables and the end-to-end campaign development and execution process, including creative and production in partnership with our agency partners, for each piece of work, campaign, or always on comm’s activity, to answer the brief and meet campaign objectives.  Influence and drive the marketing communications plan across bought, earned and owned channels Drive high levels of horizontal engagement within the end-to-end process for projects & campaigns and partner with core Food Group and Group stakeholders as relevant by leading the socialising of the work internally to gain cross-functional alignment and engagement Develop critical and sustainable relationships, processes and systems within the Greenhouse Collective to support the successful delivery of campaigns Lead the visual and tonal expression of the brand through campaigns and communications consistently and powerfully to drive brand metrics and aligned outcomes Lead and drive campaign/proposition creative asset suite and toolkits to high execution standards across all channels, including static and moving images, digital experience, copy and tone, music and voice, graphic devices and systems, etc. Take accountability for and ensure correct strategic and creative application of campaign assets across the eco-system to stay true to the campaign and creative intentions across all customer channels, including those managed end-to-end and those owned by other channels.  Within the Agile operating model, be a senior SME in the Brand Communications Chapter, helping to lift the Marketing Communications capabilities of Chapter members and consulting from a capability perspective as needed. Lead, drive and influence large stakeholder groups across multiple brands to come together to define, develop and deliver complex strategic communications approaches across campaigns.  Be a core contributor to the Greenhouse Model to partner across the model to identify creative opportunities and optimise ways of working across the Woolworths Group.

What you bring to the role

At least 10+ years of marketing/marketing communications experience client or agency side. Demonstrable experience developing, leading and driving Brand/Marketing positioning and communications planning, development and execution for Corporate-based community and/or sustainability initiatives (ideally in retail). A high degree of technical Marketing Communications skills and experience - strategy, positioning, creative, production and measurement Pragmatic and achievement-focused with a high capacity for prioritisation and managing a complex, high volume of work Ability to set a vision and take a team, with potentially competing priorities, on a journey to achieve that vision Strong cross-functional stakeholder management experience across multiple organisational levels and the ability to foster strong partnerships with internal and external partners to work collaboratively as one team Experience in harnessing and interpreting customer and category insights to lead campaigns to success Demonstrable agency best practice skills - a deep understanding of what makes a good brief, how to evaluate creative work and get the best out of partnerships A proven, in-depth understanding of the role of channels and best practices for each channel digital, OOH, Screens, PR, social, in-store etc.) Demonstrable experience in delivering innovation and industry best-practice Experience in adherence to legal requirements and risk management
