Lycopodium Process Industries has been successfully delivering complex projects for over 60 years. We operate primarily in the Industrial, Chemical, Energy, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Advanced Manufacturing and Research and Development sectors.

As a result of a growing pipeline of work, we're seeking motivated Project Engineers to help execute our projects as part of our team of project delivery experts.

This career opportunity will not only take your project engineering career to the next level through our diverse and complex industries, but you'll also learn best practices and other functions through our 60+ years of accumulated knowledge in the design and delivery of engineering solutions in our diversity of sectors.

Reporting to our Manager of Projects. your role will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and provide technical assistance in the planning, designing, evaluating, execution and handover of the assigned projects in accordance with company, client and project requirements.


The tasks you'll perform

  • Assist the Project Manager and his team to ensure the quality of deliverables are aligned with the needs of the project / study, the company objectives, the requirements of the client and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Follow the various (project specific and company) procedures, work practices, plans and protocols required to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
  • Assist with procurement, inspection and expediting activities.
  • Carry out assigned project activities, including site engineer
  • duties, in a manner that priorities safety, environment, community
  • and quality.
  • Assist in regularly maintaining the project / study schedule and budget including change management.
  • Undertake investigation and prepare reports as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Participate in the Project quality management process including carrying out inspections at vendor’s premises and review of vendor quality documentation.

The expertise you'll bring

  • Mechanical Engineering or chemical engineering qualification or equivalent
  • At least 5 years post graduate engineering experience in the heavy Industrial, chemical, energy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or manufacturing sectors
  • PMBOK or equivalent project management qualification favourable
  • Ability to influence stakeholders both written or verbal across different cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development
  • The ability to travel as part of Project requirements including being based on National and international sites from time to time as per Company Policies
