Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Haymes Paint is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Product Manager to join our dynamic merchandise and product team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development and launch of innovative coatings products, work closely with cross-functional teams and join a fast-growing Australian paint icon.

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Merchandising Product Manager, reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to product lifecycle management. You will help bring new paint and coating products from concept to market, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers and industry demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Focus: Always prioritize the customer in every aspect of product management.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the daily coordination and delivery of projects, ensuring they stay on track.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams from R&D, design, marketing, and sales to drive successful product development and launch.
  • Go-to-Market Support: Assist in executing Go-to-Market plans, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.
  • Targeted Product Planning: Assist in developing strategic plans for product ranges tailored to specific customer segments.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed product documentation, presentations, and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all packaging and marketing materials comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of market trends and pricing, providing regular insights and recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong communication and collaboration with key stakeholders across the business to enhance product awareness and knowledge.

About You:

  • A degree in marketing or a related discipline, along with relevant industry experience.
  • 2-3 years in marketing, buying, merchandise planning, research, or new product management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across various functions and manage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in project and timeline management, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and operations, particularly in a technical environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the paint or coatings industry, or a similar field, is highly valuable.
