Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive, safe, and efficient work environment to meet departmental targets.
  • Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring vehicles and equipment are safe, compliant, and mechanically sound.
  • Manage team staffing levels, performance, and training, ensuring alignment with company safety and service goals.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to meet vehicle and equipment availability requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient paperwork processes.
  • Control workshop and fleet cost centre budgets.
  • Participate in operations meetings and report weekly to the Area Manager.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to optimize workshop processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate personnel
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
  • Heavy Diesel Mechanic Transport Trade Qualification
