Welcome to Milestones Early Learning, Caloundra We're passionate about educating our children to know the importance and benefits of healthy choices and nutritious meals. We are a 123 place centre now on the lookout for our next Cook to join our fun loving team
The role
6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility to lead to a PPT position7am - 3:30pm shift, Monday - FridayThis role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus.You’ll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tipsYou’ll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children’s growth and development while in child care.About you
Efficient and capable cookAble to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all agesExperienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget controlStrict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standardsAble to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needsKeen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family eventsYou already have
Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) CertificateCertificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable)Experience in an early childhood settingReliable transport to and from our centreCurrent first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificateWhy work for Affinity:
