**Overview of the Role:**
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Kitchen Professional to join our team at Little Mountain Aged Care Service on a part-time or casual basis. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet dietary requirements and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.

About Us: Churches of Christ is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1930. We provide care and compassion to vulnerable people at different stages of their life journey through various services including residential aged care, home care, and community housing.

**Job Summary:**
This role involves preparing and serving balanced meals to residents while maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy kitchen environment. You will work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service and create a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cooking for large groups, preferably in aged care or healthcare service, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet dietary requirements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members for smooth service
  • Liaise with the Supervisor and/or suppliers in relation to ordering and stock control

**Requirements:**

  • Prior experience in cooking for large groups, preferably in aged care or healthcare service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, food hygiene control, and cleaning chemicals used in a kitchen
  • Minimum one year experience as a commercial cook, working in a hygiene-controlled environment
  • A current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

**Salary:**
The estimated hourly rate for this position is $26.95, based on experience.
