Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal level Strategic Asset Management & Risk Advisor, with a skill set focused on strategic asset management to join our Digital Advisory team. Wood is providing professional domain advisory services to support all areas of asset management, reliability, maintenance, and sparing, which additionally supports our Operations and Maintenance Team. This team supports Wood delivery and client engagements to realize the best value for the engagement and developing opportunities. ​This role is a full-time permanent staff position reporting to the Global Practice Lead for Risk Advisory & Strategic Asset Management and Local Regional Manager.

In this role you will be working in a variety of engagements, business development, client management, project work packages and campaigns that will draw on your interpersonal and collaboration skills to deliver the described scope.

Wood Consulting in Australia is looking for a Principal level Strategic Asset Management & Risk Advisor.

It takes a diverse range of people to achieve the level of impact Wood has on the global energy sector. As a member of the team, you will need to have and demonstrate:
 

  • Engineering degree from a recognised university or college in a relevant discipline
  • +20 years engineering and consulting experience in asset intensive industries
  • Proven track record of technical delivery, client management and business development
  • Strongly desirable extensive knowledge in Strategic Asset Management, ISO 55000 and other relevant standards and as a minimum be certified as Senior Practitioner in Asset Management or equivalent 
  • Proven extensive experience in operations and maintenance processes, activities and practices on operating assets in any Mining, Energy, Heavy Industry and related sectors
  • Practical experience in Modelling, RCM, FRACAS, LCC, FMECA, LoRA and other asset related techniques
  • Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and typical reliability engineering and assets performance criteria
  • Strong knowledge of the regional and global market and relevant industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, Infrastructure
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships based on technical credibility and project delivery record
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking business development activities to acquire new work 
  • Ability to structure and organise workflow, including appropriate delegation to internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, analytical, solutions driven
  • Ability to influence and inspire confidence around technical solutions and demonstrate innovative solutions and thought processes
  • Ability to advise on Technology Based solutions including application of AI and LLM in Asset Management
