We are an independent, registered charity providing front line support to young people and people experiencing homelessness to open pathways out of poverty and homelessness - breaking the cycle of disadvantage. Our focus is on respect, client-centred care, and harm prevention so people can lead longer lives, have improved health, meaningful employment, and a greater sense of belonging, safety, and security through our holistic model of care.

- 80% of the young people we supported landed sustainable employment or education outcomes
- More than 150,000 coffees were sold through our social enterprise cafes with $73K profit re-directed into homelessness and youth services
- Experienced 130,000+ contacts through our harm minimisation program
- Awarded ‘Great Place to Work’ 2022 and 2023
- Providing a safe and inclusive workplace as 88% of our 2024 workforce identifying to have lived or living experience

A bit about the role
As the Team Leader for our In-Work Support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that young people and employers receive high-quality post-placement support. You will be the driving force behind maintaining and growing our service, empowering your team to achieve sustainable employment outcomes for young people.
This role doesn’t require formal management experience, but you’ll need to demonstrate strong leadership behaviours – influencing others, leading by example, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. If you’re a natural problem solver with exceptional communication skills, this is the perfect opportunity to step into a leadership role while making a tangible difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of In-Work Support Mentors, driving high performance and accountability.
- Share insights and learnings with Youth Coaches and Team Leaders, becoming the subject matter expert in outcome claims.
- Build and nurture relationships with employers, ensuring young people maintain sustainable employment and education outcomes.
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve services and drive program development.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance post-placement care and expand our youth employment models.
