The Role
Based at our Dandenong Head Office, this role is loaded with opportunity and variety, and will involve all facets of HR, ER and IR. This is a critical role in supporting the P&C Manager to take the P&C function to the next level and ensuring we align to the changing and evolving needs of the business.
This role is operational in nature and will get you out and about within the business building relationships, providing expert HR advice and supporting our workforce - perfect for P&C Business Partners who like to roll up their operational sleeves and immerse themselves in challenge and change
The possible tasks of this role are wide and varied. To give you taste, specific duties may include:
- Partnering with the business to provide expert advice to managers and employees on HR, EBA, award and HR policy matters and issues affecting the business
- HR reporting and analysis for internal and external government stakeholders
- Management of grievances and complaints including conducting workplace investigations
- Management of leave without pay and employee absences
- Support the HR function to ensure diversity & inclusion framework is established, maintained and updated
- Management of strategy, projects and programmes aimed to ensure we meet our diversity targets and provide a safe and inclusive workplace.
- Coordination of performance review process
- Liaise with employees and managers to provide advice on remuneration and benefit issues in particular when preparing employment agreements
- Support the business with employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing management of end to end HR processes
- Maintenance and updating of HR policies and process framework
- Coordination of projects and initiatives designed to meet the strategic and operational requirements of the function and business as a whole
- Management of diversity and inclusion framework, policies, operational delivery & initiatives and reporting
What you will need
Technical requirements of this role include:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or business related discipline
- Experience in a business role in a HR or People & Culture environment
- A sound background of generalist HR & ER and related tasks in a faced paced and diverse workplace
- Up to date knowledge of HR compliance, and legislation
- Ability to write compliant and sound HR policy and processes
- Sound background of HR & ER in a faced past workplace
- Strong MS Excel skills including data manipulation, vlookups and formatting
- Sound experience using MS Word & Powerpoint
