Are you a skilled Senior Applications Developer looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic technology division? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a reputable government agency, where you'll play a key role in modernising and digitising core services.
 

  • Initial 12 month contract with a view to extension
  • Client is open to all major cities in eastern Australia but ideally, you will be based in Sydney
  • Hybrid model

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and manage high-performance, scalable Spring Boot or J2EE applications on Linux platforms.
  • Participate in and contribute to Scrum ceremonies and agile development processes.
  • Engage in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to post-production support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, network and database administrators, testers, and analysts.
  • Employ sustainable development practices, including domain-driven design, test-driven development, and automated testing.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer through comprehensive documentation and structured processes.

 
Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining high-performance applications using Spring Boot or J2EE in a Linux environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and familiarity with web services (SOAP and REST).
  • Hands-on experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery, and frameworks like Bootstrap and Thymeleaf.
  • Experience with XML and JSON for data exchange and configuration.
  • Proficient in using build tools like Maven and development environments such as IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Expertise in automated and unit testing, using tools such as JUnit or TestNG.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly GitHub.

 
Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks like React.js and scripting languages like ECMAScript 6.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with code quality analysis tools such as SonarQube.
  • Proficiency in SQL database management tools like SQL Developer or Toad.
  • Understanding of additional technologies like EJB, JMS, and Kafka.

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
