The Company :
Located in Laverton is a market leader in rendering poultry, red meat, and fish by-products into high-performance animal feed ingredient solutions and renewable fuels. 

The Role :
You will be responsible for the daily operation and management of the busy weighbridge, ensuring raw materials and finished goods are received and despatched efficiently and that all deliveries are coordinated to meet customer expectations and requirements. Duties include:

  • Attending to all vehicles entering and leaving the site to ensure that truck weight loads conform to customer orders/raw material intake. 
  • Ensuring trucks leaving/entering the site are adhering to the COR rules and regulations. 
  • Conducting driver inductions for all the transport contractors. 
  • Ensuring correct paperwork is issued to incoming and outgoing goods deliveries. 
  • Attending to incoming deliveries for production and maintenance departments and directing them accordingly.
  • Supporting the commercial and logistics administration team with administration duties as required
  • Processing suppliers' & carrier's invoices & payment reconciliation.
  • Providing annual/sick leave cover for afternoon/night shift when required
  • Relief reception and adhoc administrative tasks as delegated by the Sales and Operations Planning Manager.

The Person :
You have high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and can meet deadlines.  You work well under pressure, enjoy working in a team environment and have proficient computer skills i.e. MS Office Suite. 

Previous weighbridge operating and office admin experience will be highly regarded.  Hours: 7.00 am to 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday in office.

NOTE: Providing cover for annual/sick leave of weighbridge operators (day/afternoon/night) and back office cross-functional administration is a requirement of the role
