Our regional Vancouver office is now recruiting for a HR Services Advisor with a competitive base salary of $86, dependent on experience, skills, and competencies with consideration to internal equity.
The HR Services Advisor is responsible for maintaining a smooth operation of the BAU delivery of the Western Canada HR Services teams and HR Analytics for Newmont.
Technical Accountabilities
Maintain and enhance service delivery to stakeholders: Monitor the quality and service delivery of the Outsourced HR Services teams based in Kolkata, India. The size of the team varies but currently has 18 FTE resources. The HRS teams are responsible for the HR transactional services for our Australian, PNG and Canadian sites. Monitor HR Services processes (Contracts/Letters and SAP employee master data changes), monitoring their efficiency, driving continuous improvement, managing, and coordinating the effective service delivery of BAU tasks Review service delivery with key internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis, conduct formal meetings, communicate performance, and gather user feedback to ensure business priorities are met Point of contact for all high priority/critical/VIP Stakeholder escalated queries from employees and other stakeholders across AU, PNG, and Western Canada sites Troubleshoot escalated HR system issues impacting the Western Canada HR Services delivery Provide advice and assistance on company policies and standards Project support for HR system implementations Complete any escalated out of hours HRS requests as requiredPeople Accountabilities

About You:
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Tertiary qualifications in related discipline preferred; Demonstrated HR and Payroll processes knowledge Demonstrated knowledge of SAP HR and Payroll Previous experience in the Oil and Gas or Mining Industry (preferred) Previous experience in dealing with Service Delivery Provider and/or a Shared Services Function (preferred) in HR and or Payroll function Languages - Fluent English, both verbal and written Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively engage key stakeholders Demonstrated team management and work/priorities coordination Ability to interpret, present and analyse data Ability to assimilate and action knowledge gaps in order to be effective in both HR & Payroll Ability to work autonomously or as a part of a team Very strong attention to detail Travel to India may be requiredOur Commitment to You
