Our client AUSTATE Services specialise in custom manufacture of Truck Bodies, Trailers and modifications for your prized items. They also specialise in the repair and restoration of heavy vehicles in addition to Trailer Sales and Servicing. About the role
We are looking for an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker to install, modify, maintain and repair complex electronic instruments and control systems. You will ensure brand integrity and high safety standards are met and the products are in accordance with customers’ expectations and industry requirements.
The Duties Will Include
- Interpret drawings, manuals, and instruction to perform maintenance and installations on a range of electronic instruments and control systems
- Reassemble, configure and adjust electrical and mechanical parts and components
- Use electrical and mechanical knowledge to test new electronic equipment, examine malfunction, diagnose and repair defective parts and wiring
- Conduct analysis and continuous improvement and ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the job and prior to product delivery and communicate all changes and modifications with all relevant parties.
- Provide technical support and advice to users about correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of work performed
- Ensuring effective communication amongst team members and other departments.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and highly motivated and have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least two (2) years of recent experience in Electrical or Mechanical background or related field with relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of electrical/mechanical systems.
- Able to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, manuals, and OEM guides.
- Working knowledge of diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical tools and equipment.
- Able to service and support equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs.
- Be capable of working with limited supervision
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
- Attention to detail and quality focused.

The workshop is based in Minto. It is a 15-minute walk from the nearest rail station in Leumeah. If you are driving, they are easily accessible via the Hume Highway off the Campbelltown exit which is then an approximate 5-minute drive to site. Plenty of amenities exist in and around the area.
