Job Overview
At TE Connectivity, we're looking for a skilled Electronics Technician to join our Assembly Teams. As an Electronics Technician, you will operate automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to guarantee quality and productivity. You will perform changeovers and setups according to production schedules, conduct quality checks according to established processes, and document results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area, as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Competency in Electronic modification and calibration down to Component level of Crompton's product range, including analogue Instrumentation, Transducers, protection relays, digital indicators, and Multi Function Power meters.
- Carry out product inspections and repairs in accordance with company procedures down to component level.
- Carry out Electrical calculations to allow correct modification of product on work orders.
- Provide calibration certificates and test reports upon request for products within our range using bench test equipment and test software.
- Technical liaison with Crompton staff and customers, offering engineering solutions on our product range to meet customer application needs.
- Learn and understand products communications/software output protocols and the methods involved in the testing of these product features (such as Modbus, Bacnet, etc).
- Allocation of stock against customer orders.
- Be computer literate in Windows applications and in-house applications.
- General housekeeping of work areas, workshop manuals, and stock as required.
- Other duties may be required from time to time.
- Understand and follow Quality manuals and EHS manuals. Involvement in continual improvement in all areas is expected.
