The Opportunity
This position with The North West Star is an opportunity to report on the day to day life of the Mount Isa region and its communities. This is a full time permanent position based in Mount Isa, Queensland. Our journalist will respond quickly to breaking news and keep our audiences abreast of police, court and council matters. We also report on local industry and business ventures and cover social and sporting events.
The successful candidate will have :
Strong news-gathering and writing/reporting skills Passion for regional community life and the stories of its people Proven skills in writing for online and social media audiences with tight deadlines Ability to work effectively with a manager and colleagues who are based remotely Educational qualifications in Communications/JournalismWhy you should join ACM
