Main Beach, Australia Southport Yacht Club Inc. Full time

The role consists of:

  • Produce and maintain consistently high level of food preparation & presentation
  • A la carte restaurant, tapas menus, and function menu's
  • Hands on across all areas of the kitchen, including function or offsite events
  • Work under direction of Head Chef, to assist with smooth daily operations, along with fresh, new and exciting promotions or creative alternatives are implemented
  • A flexible roster, across 7 days including nights and weekends

Skills and Experience: The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong a la carte experience in pans and grill sections
  • Work as a positive, professional, team member with a 'can-do' attitude across all areas of the kitchen
  • Trade qualifications, including Food Safety Certificate
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong product knowledge, and attention to details / consistency
  • Good understanding of food safety requirements & standards for maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • A real team player: our Team works closely together to achieve excellence for our members, and guests
  • Ability to smile until the end of service
