About the role

The Workforce Lead is responsible for leading and managing activities that form part of the People pillar in the Tennis Victoria strategic plan. With a focus on educating, upskilling, and growing the tennis workforce in Victoria, this position works across the whole of business to ensure our affiliates, coaches, officials, and stakeholders have access to appropriate resources, education, and courses that empower them to deliver quality outcomes and grow the sport.

  • Support the implementation of the Tennis Victoria (TV) strategy.
  • Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for affiliates that address issues and concerns raised via the various feedback mechanisms available.
  • Create and implement an annual calendar of professional development opportunities aimed at supporting administrators, coaches, teachers and officials in delivering the sport.
  • Work with the Tennis Victoria team to identify gaps and create resources and tools that support affiliates in running venues and growing the sport.
  • Track and monitor the use and uptake of the tools and professional development opportunities available to affiliates, coaches, and officials.
  • Manage the budget that supports the delivery of the initiatives that form part of the annual work plan.

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience and an in-depth understanding of community sport broadly.
  • Experience running and facilitating training and/or professional development opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management experience
  • Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination.
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
