Why This Role Matters

As the Software Engineering Manager, you will lead the charge in developing world-class software products and apps that bring Spacetalk’s vision to life. Overseeing a talented team of engineers, you will drive the design and delivery of customer-facing applications, predictive analytics, and sensor integrations that make family safety more proactive and intuitive. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure our software solutions are scalable, secure, and ahead of industry trends. What You'll Do:

Product Development

  • Oversee the development of native and web apps within the Spacetalk ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration with our SaaS platforms and IoT solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of app performance, scalability, and user experience, leveraging data-driven insights.

Leadership and Team Building

  • Lead cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies while incorporating DevOps practices for efficient CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, ensuring alignment with Spacetalk’s values and business objectives.
  • Align engineering efforts with company objectives, ensuring technical strategies support scalability and innovation.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and maintain engineering best practices, processes, and tools to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance product capabilities and efficiency.

Metrics-Driven Impact

  • Define and monitor key performance metrics for engineering deliverables, ensuring measurable outcomes such as improved app performance, increased user retention, and reduced time-to-market for features.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven leadership experience in software engineering, with a strong track record of delivering innovative SaaS platforms and apps.
  • Expertise in leading cross-functional teams, aligning engineering efforts with business objectives, and achieving measurable results in app and SaaS development.
  • Deep understanding of predictive analytics, IoT, and scalable software architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with modern development tools, native and web app platforms, agile methodologies, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
