About the Role

Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, the casual Speech Pathologist will be responsible for the assessment and management of a diverse acute and rehabilitation caseload across the two sites.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in an adult acute care or rehabilitation setting
  • Experience in VFSS is highly desirable
  • Experience in SPEAK OUT or LSVT is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in co-operation with others
  • Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, management and discharge planning of patients with a range of swallowing and communication difficulties
  • Professional behaviour and conduct which reflects self-initiative, confidentiality, self-evaluation and commitment to professional development
  • Good working knowledge of community support services
  • Skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload, and effectively prioritise tasks

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $39.56 - $66.57 + casual loading and superannuation, based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

About Our Hospitals

Caboolture Private Hospital is a fully accredited surgical and medical hospital situated in the outer Northern reaches of Brisbane - at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Caboolture Private is a Preferred – Tier 1 Department of Veterans Affairs accredited hospital which allows Veterans to have immediate access to the facilities without, in most cases, the need for prior approval.This hospital has 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital.

North West Private Hospital is a fully accredited surgical, obstetric and medical hospital situated 15 mins north west of the Brisbane CBD in the leafy suburb of Everton Park. It is an acute care hospital committed to providing the highest standards of specialised services, skilled personnel and sophisticated technologies. The hospital is licensed for 150 beds and has recently undergone a $55 million upgrade that has included the incorporation of additional beds, two additional operating theatres with advanced Stryker equipment, additional four oncology chairs, a multideck car parking building (with free parking) and a new separate specialist consulting suite building on site.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
