Document Controller

ConsMin produces some of the world’s highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. As a member of the HST team, the Document Controller will ensure that the Company’s document control processes are followed, and all systems are adhered to and are in place.
Reporting to the Superintendent HST your responsibilities include:
- Accountable for the registration, revision control, and distribution of all electronic and hard copy documentation in accordance with Company procedures and project requirements.
- Creation and management of document workflows within the Document Management System.
- Establish a procedural framework for collecting controlled documents, including developing and/or enhancing document controls procedures and tools.
- Liaise with various project stakeholders relating to Document Control queries/training.
- Expedite the review and approval of documentation, including designs, procedures, and supplier deliverables.
- Assisting wider team members with document formation and other process requirements.
- Work in liaison with the ICT team as the custodian of the Company’s intranet and DMS system.
Skills and experience to be successful in this role:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a document control function
- Previous exposure to document and record control requirements in compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management System – Requirements).
- Previous delivery of training to users of document and record control process and software with mixed experience levels.
- Previous exposure to building and maintaining workflows and automation around the document control process (Desirable).
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining Procedure, Guidelines and Work Instructions.
