What you’ll do

As a Team Lead, you will manage the development lifecycle, ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and drive ongoing improvements within the team. You will deliver solutions for complex business problems and you will also be responsible for building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including product, business and sales partners. 

You will be accountable for managing teams with cross functional skills that include software, quality, and reliability engineers. As a Team Lead you will be providing deep troubleshooting skills with the ability to lead and solve production and customer issues under pressure.

Another key responsibility of this role is to mentor, coach and develop junior and senior software engineers. You will lead Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activities and you will manage implementation architecture decision making associated with Product features/stories, reactoring work and EOSL decisions. Ensuring compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs are an important part of this role.

 What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in building and delivering software projects

  • 3+ years of experience in managing software teams.

  • Strong experience in writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in mainstream Java, SpringBoot, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

  • Extensive experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure

  • Hands-on in designing and developing cloud-native solutions, microservices.

  • Strong experience  with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes

  • A solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.

  • Familiarity with various database technologies like SQL or NoSQL databases

  • Experience in  UI development (e.g. Angular, ReAct)

  • Experience in overall system scalability, reliability, and performance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate, not only with team members at various levels but with business leaders across the organisation

  • Cloud Certification (GCP/AWS/Azure)

  • Experience in Banks, FinTech or Financial Services organisations

  • Experience working in agile development methodologies.

  • Open-source or community project committer would be highly desirable (please share Github or similar details)
