The Venue

This Canberra institution is changing the game in the local dining scene. It features a large bar and restaurant, incorporating some of the best local craft beers, comprehensive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

The overall property has seating for over 600pax and a range of contemporary food offerings all served from an open wrap-around kitchen.

The Role

You’ll be overseeing the bar and lounge area assisting with the operations and helping manage a large team of attendants, supervisors while engaging with the guests. This will be a huge project that will require constant motivation and communication with the staff, as well as a flexible approach to adapt to a changing work environment. The company places a strong emphasis on fostering an engaged and dynamic style of service that aligns with its expectations.

You will report to a highly experienced and dynamic F&B Manager who is open and supportive to the staff. This is essentially a dual role of bar and floor, so you’ll need to be able to lead from the front, setting the tone on the floor, as well as being able to work comfortably behind a bar, driving ideas and maintaining standards.

Required Experience

Ideally, you will have a background in high-quality, high-volume pubs, restaurants, or bars, as the role requires someone with a professional approach to service and training.

This position will be ideal for someone looking to advance their career and harness their expertise within a different environment. You’ll be someone who has a wealth of experience in a variety of venues, a person with strong mentoring skills and an innovative thinker.

Restaurant Management experience will be strongly desirable, also a strong interest and knowledge in beverages as this role will be overseeing the bar.
