This opportunity

As a Principal Security Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our systems and services. Reporting directly to the Senior Security Architecture Manager, Technical Security, your responsibilities will encompass the following:

Customer-Centric Security: Designing top-notch secure customer security controls for data-centric digital workflows. Your work will not only enhance customer experience but also bolster operational efficiency, customer data security, and privacy. Securing Customer Digital Channels: By incorporating modern solutions, your focus will be on embedding security seamlessly into the customer experience. You'll propose solutions that simplify and automate customer security requirements in response to evolving digital threats. Architectural Leadership: Leading solution analysis, solution planning, customer security solution architecture, and design. Blueprint Development: Crafting current state, interim, and target architecture blueprints, reference architecture patterns, and security policies, standards to ensure a seamless and inclusive customer experience. Collaborative Approach: You'll collaborate closely with other architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams involved in designing and implementing security solutions. Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning, security control roadmap development, control enhancements, and validation of control effectiveness. Architecture Review: Active participation in the Architecture Review Board community by reviewing solution architectures, providing recommendations, and promoting best practices and standards. Project advisory and solution governance: Review and advise on project delivery approaches, issues, resolutions, and stakeholder involvement. Trusted advisor and guidance for Governance, risk and compliance teams, all relevant staff on how to apply the best standards for solutions.

Knowledge and experience

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the field of customer security architecture, encompassing design and implementation across large retail customer base. A strong track record is essential in designing and implementing security controls tailored for data-centric digital workflows while balancing customer experience and security. Proficiency in designing, standardizing, and implementing customer security controls across digital workflows and journeys. Demonstrated industry experience in working with external consumer identity and access management solutions, which includes composing personas, implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), multifactor authentication, password management policies, selecting and applying CIAM controls to critical customer journeys, executing strategic trade-offs, and integrating design principles within a broader architectural framework. Proven solution architecture design documentation and guiding System Integrators and project vendors to produce the fit for purpose detail designs and solutions. Proficiency in creating attacker journey maps for digital customer journeys, conducting Threat Risk Assessments, performing Market Analysis, engaging in Security Control Product Research, developing Evaluation Criteria. Thorough knowledge in designing core security controls encompassing Endpoint Security, Application Security, Data Security, Infrastructure Security, Network Security, Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, Email Security, Detection and Prevention Platforms, and Threat Intelligence Platforms. Excellent communication, written and collaboration skills by managing senior stakeholders as a trusted security advisor.
