About the role

In this role, you will provide strategic support and advice on all matters related to Talent Acquisition, with a strong focus on customer service, delivery, and efficiency. You’ll join an innovative team, who values respect and inclusivity, open communication, trust and empowerment, fun, and continuous improvement. We treat everyone with respect, champion diversity, and ensure everyone feels welcomed and valued. We share information openly and honestly, build relationships founded on trust, and support each other’s professional growth. We also create a fun work environment and embrace challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement.

As our Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

You’ll join our team on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • You’ll play a crucial role in hiring for our Corporate teams, including Finance, People and Culture, Marketing/Communications, managing diverse roles throughout the Talent Acquisition lifecycle. This includes driving candidate engagement, sourcing activities from brief to offer, communicating our employee value proposition to prospective candidates, and building strong relationships with hiring managers
  • Utilise your expertise in various recruitment search tools to proactively engage with top talent, ensuring we attract the best candidates
  • Present balanced and diverse shortlists to hiring managers, encouraging them to think strategically and inclusively
  • Work closely with hiring managers and the broader People & Culture team on both day-to-day operations and strategic, future-focused recruitment activities, as well as continuous improvement projects
  • Take a keen interest in our projects and assets, using your market knowledge to proactively create talent pipelines aligned with market trends and internal succession planning needs

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Talent Acquisition focused role (ideally within an in-house or RPO environment), including continuous improvement projects
  • Specialisation in recruiting for roles within Corporate such as Finance, Accounting , P&C, Marketing & Communication is highly preferred
  • Proven experience working within a fast paced, agile environment and be able to manage multiple competing and changing deliverables
  • Naturally inquisitive, you’ll become an expert in understanding and representing your portfolio and be the go to person for all talent acquisition and recruitment advice, bringing strong credibility and knowledge to the role
  • You’ll know your recruitment technology, having gained experience across a variety of ATS’s and/or HRIS’s (such as Workday), search tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Seek Talent) and other complimentary automation platforms (e.g. HireVue, X-Ref)
  • Multiskilling is essential in this role, as you will be managing a number of roles at any time, providing consistent service and advice

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • A range of flexible working options
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, available for the duration of the contract, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well
  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests
  • Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more
  • Social activities and groups

We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people living with disability.
