About the role:
We are currently seeking a Claiming Officer to join our Claiming and Collections team within the Finance department. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced Claiming Officers, managing Home Care Package subsidy claiming. Your key responsibilities will include validation of the monthly claim, verifying remittances (involving some complex Excel reconciliations), analysing monthly claims, and posting any adjustments needed. You'll also have the chance to liaise with relevant government departments to resolve claim discrepancies and assist our elderly customers and/or their next of kin in understanding statements, invoices, etc.. Some general administrative functions for Accounts Receivables will also be part of your responsibilities.
But here's the exciting part – you won't be on your own. You'll have the support of a seasoned team to guide you. This role isn't just about what you bring to the table now; it's about the opportunity to develop and implement enhancements to our processes, reduce risk, and optimise results. Plus, you'll get to grow your knowledge of the Aged Care industry.
This is a hybrid role, working from our Bella Vista office 1 day per week (Tuesday) and the rest of the week from home. The role may sometimes require attendance on additional days in the week. Reasonable notice will be provided.

About you:
- Tertiary qualifications
- Experience working with Aged Care/Home Care Packages - highly desirable but not essential
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Visual Basic - preferred but not essential
- Good working knowledge of large ERP systems such as Salesforce
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong organisation and analytical skills
- Ability to build strong internal relationships including working within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and potential solutions
