Ventia are seeking a Regional Manager who will be responsible for managing delivery outcomes for your geographical region to support the overall business to achieve the performance commitments of all contractual agreements with the Commonwealth.

A highly visible leader, managing the regional reputation via strong community presence and engagement. A willingness to engage at a site level and empower your Site Managers to execute both the scheduled plan and any surge / incident response activities.

Working with stakeholders to create a sound regional plan and act as the interface between senior planning specialists and the Commonwealth.

Key selection criteria

Relevant tertiary and CA qualification or equivalent  Financial and Commercial acumen across multiple business PNL.  Substantial experience in managing multiple business units and functions, across complex work sites. Provide leadership and direction to multiple site leaders with a core focus on driving outcomes.  Demonstrated skills interacting with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers, and Client representatives. Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching a team, including cultivating diverse and socially inclusive teams. Demonstrated skills in time management, project management, presentation, report writing, multi-tasking, risk analysis and management.  Agile management and the ability to champion change in a complex, evolving environment. Able to speak in public and alter presentation style to suit variety of audiences. Familiar with and demonstrated adherence to the Health and Safety practices of the client and Ventia.

Primary Accountabilities 

Overseeing the operational activities of the geographical region to ensure performance objectives are achieved. Collaboratively working with the Client to develop and maintain a healthy, trusted relationship with a focus on adding value to the Client’s business. Utilise the combined knowledge and skills of joint management partners Cross functional collaboration. Build relationships with TSAs for Sovereign capability.  Providing strong leadership through example by achieving the business’ KPI’s as per the Contract Develop a strong team with a focus on a collaborative, customer centric, safety culture.  Recommending maintenance improvements in productivity and/or cost to be implemented and monitored. Actively leading implementation of change initiatives Overseeing financial and commercial performance of the contract including cash flow, capital expenditure/disposals, costing and expense control and risk administration of contracts.  Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.  Ensures operational adherence to Defence policy and procedures. Carry out all work activities upholding the Company values of Integrity, Ingenuity, Collaboration and Challenge.  Actively participate in the Performance and Development Review process.
