About the Role: They are seeking a dynamic individual to join their Energy team as Manager – Land and Planning. In this role, you will lead the land, planning, and environment stream, overseeing site assessments, regulatory approvals, and navigating complex frameworks for renewable energy projects. Reporting to the Group Manager – Energy, you will play a pivotal role in driving project development and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing site suitability and managing due diligence processes.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with land development.
  • Leading land and planning approval processes aligned with company objectives.
  • Facilitating land acquisition for renewable energy projects.
  • Navigating zoning regulations and permitting processes.
  • Coordinating stakeholder engagements and cultural heritage negotiations.
  • Managing project teams and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

About You: We are looking for a high-performing individual with:

  • 10+ years of experience in land acquisition or project development, preferably in the energy sector.
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and planning frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with GIS mapping software and renewable energy project development.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and workplace diversity.
