We are excited to collaborate with a respected local education provider in South Sydney, who is looking to recruit a Senior Standalone Payroll Officer for a 6-month contract through AccountAbility.

About the Role: This full-time position will be based in the office, conveniently offering parking and excellent public transport connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 350-400 employees
  • Enter timesheets manually
  • Manage onboarding, terminations, and final payments
  • Calculate PAYG, tax, and superannuation
  • Communicate with senior management regarding forecasts and reporting
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues effectively

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of experience in a standalone payroll officer role
  • Proficient in manual payroll processes
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Approachable with strong communication skills at all staff levels
  • Must possess the right to work and be open to potential contract extension beyond 6 months
