About the Opportunity

William Clarke College is seeking an experienced General Tradesperson to join our Property and Maintenance Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking minor construction and maintenance to ensure that College facilities are presented in good order and facilities are safe and ready for their intended purpose. This role requires a commitment to providing a high level of service and quality workmanship as well as a flexibility to work across a wide range of general handyperson tasks.

The successful candidate will be required to work autonomously as well as part of the friendly Property Services team and will actively support the Christian ethos of the College.

This is a permanent full-time position with ordinary hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. There may be flexibility to consider a part-time position for the right applicant.

About You

  • Trade qualifications (Carpentry/Building) or equivalent experience
  • Must have current driver’s licence – NSW Class C minimum
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position will be an advantage but is not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, and willingness to collaborate with others
  • Proven ability to safely use hand tools
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications is desirable as well as an ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems
  • Be flexible and have the ability to adapt and operate effectively
  • The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
  • Regularly practicing member of a Christian church
