Are you looking for a location change? Are you dedicated and experienced nurse with a passion for leadership and making a difference?

Come join our team at the Brisbane IDC as an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Team Leader and contribute to the health and well-being of those in our care.

About the Role

As the AOD Team Leader, you will oversee and guide a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality support and intervention for individuals with alcohol and other drug concerns. Your expertise will ensure a safe and supportive environment, promoting the physical and mental well-being of detainees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the AOD team to deliver evidence-based interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide clinical expertise and support to team members.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and organisational standards.

Qualifications

​​​​Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years of nursing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AOD treatment frameworks and clinical practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a detention or correctional setting.
