About Strategy and Sustainability
The Service Improvement and Innovation Team reports through to the Strategy and Sustainability Directorate, and enables an enterprise approach to improvement and innovation, and project management. The focus of the Service Improvement and Innovation function is on improvement projects with an organisation wide impact; service improvement and innovation support; coaching and capability building in improvement and project methodologies; and to support the development of staff engagement in service improvement and innovation.
About the role
As the Improvement Advisor, you will provide improvement knowledge and skills to support delivery of improvement initiatives and improvement capability building within Austin Health.
A regular day will see you:
- Facilitate successful management of improvement and redesign work at Austin Health, ensuring maximum value is realised from improvement initiatives
- Consistently employ the Austin Health improvement methodology, tools and templates
- Facilitate capability building of Austin Health staff in improvement and redesign
- Champion the provision of responsive, high quality, cost effective and sustainable improvement and redesign across Austin Health, aligned with strategic priorities and to achieve specified outcomes.
This is fixed term part time opportunity (26.6 hours per week).
About you
You will be someone who has excellent communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated experience in improvement, redesign and/or process improvement in a healthcare setting.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
- Demonstrated ability or working towards coaching others in improvement
- Demonstrated ability to gather, collate, analyse and present data for improvement
- Strong track record of working collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and implement improvement initiatives that will deliver sustained performance improvement Experience in group facilitation, capability building and/or delivery of training
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills with an ability to influence others
