The Brand and Communications Specialist will device strategies and produce content, reporting, news articles, training, and presentations to help align the marketing team’s goals and deliverables.

The opportunity

We are looking for a talented Brand and Communications Specialist to join our team for a 9 month parental leave cover. Reporting to the Brand Manager you will lead in shaping strategies to not only establish but continually reinforce the essence of the Hostplus brand within the organisation's framework. Skillfully navigating through diverse communication channels, this role crafts multifaceted approaches, generating compelling content, impactful reports, captivating news articles, and immersive presentations by seamlessly aligning the marketing team's aspirations with the overarching organisational goals.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion wider internal understanding and correct application of the Hostplus brand, including but not limited to our brand pillars, brand essence, values, tone of voice and personality
  • Facilitate brand training/workshops and presentations with internal stakeholders
  • Deliver strategic and creative thinking, develop delivery plans, prepare briefs and project manage the marketing requirements for communication programs and campaigns eg. Member segmentation
  • Take ownership of and champion the intranet asset for the Marketing Team, including driving increased and ongoing traffic.

  • Project manage the delivery of reporting that seeks to promote Marketing team’s key activities
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance around internal communications and crisis communications
  • Execute and oversee the internal communications strategy and advise on best channels and formats for maximum engagement
  • Preparation of fortnightly all staff Townhall presentations
  • Manage the marketing requirements for internal communication programs and campaigns (e.g. PP&C led initiatives, staff conference, SoCo promotions, EVP, RAP Committee)
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages Draft messages, scripts, presentations as required
  • Liaise with Hostplus departments to uncover stories of interest to educate and inform Hostplus employees

About you

  • Demonstrated experience working in communications or marketing ideally in superannuation or financial services
  • Strong understanding of brand management with experience with delivering campaigns
  • Understanding and experience with digital and video communication channels
  • Skilled in presenting, facilitating and delivering training
  • Creative ability to devise communication strategies and brief and evaluate the output of internal & external creative agencies
