About the role

The role of the Child and Parent Centre is to providehigh-quality, accessible, and integrated early childhood programsand services for families with children aged 0-8 years with astrong focus on 0 -4-year-olds (including parents expectingchildren).

The service is a family-friendly facility that will offerprograms and services to support parents and help children developand learn in their early years. It is an early childhood one-stopshop that provides support, information, and referrals to helpparents and their families, as well as providing a welcoming placeto come and meet other families.

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate the development and implementation of an Activity Work Plan Schedule for Play in the Park. Record Play in the Park attendance and participation outcomes Monthly and quarterly reporting for Play at the Park as requested by the Manager. Organise and facilitate weekly planning meetings with the Play and the Park team Responsible for maintaining the Play in the Park equipment and ordering new resources after approval from the Child and Parent Centre Manager is given. Responsible for maintaining and organizing servicing of the Play in the Park bus. Community engagement and networking with local stakeholders Work alongside Early years assistant and support where required.

Essential Requirements

National Police Clearance Certificate III Children’s Services (0 to 12 years) and relevant experience in community services. To hold and maintain a suitable First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificate approved by ACECQA. Current valid Driver’s License Experience working with Indigenous and Culturally and linguistically diverse families.
