Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team as a Sleep Study Nurse. In this role, you will work with patients to conduct sleep studies and provide high-quality care in our sleep centre.

Recently undergoing a significant redevelopment, our facility has new consulting suites, operating theatres, day surgery and endoscopy suites as well as refurbished maternity unit. The facility is comprised of 122 inpatient beds, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms and an ICU.

As a Sleep Studies Nurse your responsibilities will include:

· Overnight monitoring of patients includes signal interpretation, CPAP titration, diagnostic sleep studies, patient care, cleaning of equipment and patient discharge

· Monitor patients during sleep studies and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure accurate data collection.

· Collect and analyse data from sleep studies and provide reports to respiratory physicians for review.

· Completing comprehensive initial assessment, admission paperwork and other relevant assessments as required

· Ensuring patients overnight needs are seen to in an efficient and timely manner

· Ability to engage with and create strong working relationships with patients, their families, clinical and non-clinical staff is essential

Essential Criteria:

· Authority to Work in Australia

· Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

· Previous experience desirable however not essential as training will be provided

· Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Sound clinical decision making, problem solving skills and have an excellent time management skill

This position would suit an Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working night shifts (19:30-0700) and wants job satisfaction through an interesting and challenging role.
