About the Role

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our team as a Sleep Study Nurse. In this role, you will work with patients to conduct sleep studies and provide high-quality care in our sleep centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overnight monitoring of patients includes signal interpretation, CPAP titration, diagnostic sleep studies, patient care, cleaning of equipment and patient discharge
  • Monitor patients during sleep studies and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Collect and analyse data from sleep studies and provide reports to respiratory physicians for review.
  • Completing comprehensive initial assessment, admission paperwork and other relevant assessments as required
  • Ensuring patients overnight needs are seen to in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ability to engage with and create strong working relationships with patients, their families, clinical and non-clinical staff is essential

Requirements

  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Previous experience desirable however not essential as training will be provided
  • Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound clinical decision making, problem solving skills and have an excellent time management skill
