Job Description

The Role

This role will be working closely alongside the Finance Manager with the focus of the role being assisting JET Charge meet its financial management reporting obligations for year end and to provide real time support and analysis to the business, to be a trusted advisor and to add value that will assist in decision making and driving profitability.

Main Duties

Year End Reporting

  • Reviewing key customer contracts and drafting accounting memos to ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with AASB 15
  • Reviewing company leave agreements to ensure correct treatment and reporting in line with AASB 11
  • Complete requests and prepare data for external auditors as required within agreed timelines.
  • Complete all allocated monthly reconciliations for JET Charge Australia and New Zealand within agreed timeframes and with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Assist with the completion of any other ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Provide support for inventory reporting and stocktake processes.
  • Providing solutions and suggestions for new/improved processes.

Processing

  • Process all allocated monthly journals for JET Charge Australia and New Zealand within agreed timeframes.
  • Management of company’s fixed asset register and supporting accounting processes.
  • Regular monitoring of company’s progress on scheduled job completions.
  • Review of stock movements and prepayments.
  • Preparation and review of data analysis for specific partner agreements.
  • Assisting accountant with bank reconciliations as required.

Processes / Systems

  • Assist with the implementation of new ERP finance systems, including data validation and reconciliations between systems.
  • Critically review processes being undertaken and make recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Progressively produce documentation on JET Charge processes.

Workplace Health and Safety

  • Follow Safe Work Practices and procedure.
  • Comply with all reasonable instructions in relation to health and safety.

Qualifications

What are we looking for in our candidates?

Mandatory:

  • CA/CPA – minimum 4+ years qualified experience

Desirable:

  • Available for an immediate start.
  • Demonstrated strength in monthly financial reporting roles.
  • Sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Ability to work in unstructured environments.
  • Ability to regularly identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proven experience with inventory management roles demonstrating strong financial controls.
  • Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Netsuite & Simpro would be a plus but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with business stakeholders across local and remote locations.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, the ability to work under limited direction, strong team working and collaboration.
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management and the ability to multitask.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
