The Role

Due to an internal promotion, Bega Group is looking for a highly engaged Commercial Finance Manager to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is business partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders, across Finance, Procurement, Sales and Marketing to apply strong commercial acumen background and influencing skills to make a data-driven recommendation to reduce costs, execute change and drive growth into the group.

As Bega Group is a fast-paced, forever changing organisation, we are looking for a bold, ambitious and adaptable individual who is excited about the commercial aspect of the role, as well as picking up the phone and get their hands dirty when required so.

This is a permanent, full-time position and will be based at Port Melbourne & Docklands, Victoria in a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across Procurement, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Apply your strong commercial acumen and influencing skills to make data-driven recommendations that reduce costs, drive change, and propel growth within the group.

  • Engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to prepare budgets, monthly forecasts, and pricing activities.

  • Utilise your financial expertise to provide insightful recommendations on budget and forecast variances, positively impacting the organization’s results.

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of month-end financials, maintaining high standards of governance on procurement continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Finance/ economics/accounting degree. CPA/CA advantageous.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Experience in either the Agriculture, Food and Beverage manufacturing sector.

  • Advanced and effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly developed analytical and business acumen skill.
