Job Description

Lead the transformation of St Kilda PCYC -  We’re looking for a visionary CEO to elevate PCYC's community profile, build sustainable funding, and rival PCYC operations across Australia.

Key Challenges and Opportunities:

  • Elevate the Profile: Increase PCYC's visibility and impact across Victoria, with a long-term vision of unifying all Victorian PCYC branches under one cohesive PCYC Victoria umbrella.
  • Build Financial Sustainability: Develop and implement a robust funding strategy to ensure long-term financial stability and growth, positioning the organisation for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with the Board to create and execute a compelling vision and mission for the future of PCYC. Set and achieve both short- and long-term goals to drive the organization's growth.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Implement systems and policies that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Financial Management: Manage the organization’s budget, monitor financial performance, and take proactive measures to ensure financial stability. Lead fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with investors and key financial stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with board members, community groups, partners, and other key stakeholders. Represent PCYC in public forums and media engagements, acting as the face of the organisation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing team and foster a positive, inclusive culture. Oversee talent management, including hiring, development, and retention.
  • Innovation and Growth: Drive the development and implementation of new programs and services while identifying opportunities for market expansion and partnerships.
  • Risk and Governance: Ensure the organization adheres to high standards of corporate governance and risk management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership & Management: Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally in the non-profit or community sectors, with the ability to inspire teams and drive organisational success.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic plans that foster growth and sustainability.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and fundraising, with experience ensuring financial compliance in non-profit settings.
  • Stakeholder & Community Engagement: A skilled relationship builder who can advocate for PCYC’s mission and engage with government bodies, donors, and community groups.
  • Passion for Youth Development: A deep commitment to PCYC’s mission of empowering young people through collaboration with government, community, and business.

Role Options:

  • Full-Time Position: Offering a remuneration package of circa $150,000, the full-time CEO will be a leader who drives the organization’s strategic and operational goals.
  • Part-Time Option: For more seasoned candidates with a focus on strategy, leadership, and fundraising, this role offers a pro-rata remuneration package of $300,000.
