Cloud Lead

Awesome opportunity to join one of the leading healthcare and pharmaceutical businesses in APAC as they scale.  They are a highly successful enterprise business, going through a vast transformation, and looking for a Cloud Lead to join their team.

Reporting to the Cloud and Infrastructure Manager, the role will lead a small team of systems engineers and will guide the Public Cloud team in delivering first class solutions. Working closely with various infrastructure and application teams, IT security, network, business partners  and internal colleagues, the role will provide BAU support and deliver strategic infrastructure projects focussed around environment standardisation, overarching frameworks and standards and policies with a focus on the Cloud side of things. 

Core Competencies required for the role:

• At least 5 years experience as a Senior Systems Engineer with a minimum 1 year experience in a leadership/tech lead role managing a small team or mentoring less experienced engineers. 
• Solid experience building and supporting IaaS and PaaS work loads on public cloud (Azure preferable but AWS will also be considered).
• Experience adopting high level cloud and modernisation strategies into detailed tactical and operational plans, with prior proven experience in uplifting and modernising cloud environments. 
• Solid experience in IaC to drive and implement modern deployment practices across the team.
• Experience in the design, implementation and support of Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery and other core infrastructure functions or public cloud tooling experience.
• Experience in the deployment and support of Windows Servers (Windows Server 2019-2022), including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management. 
• Experience of Microsoft Exhange (2010-2016) both on-prem and Exhange on-line as well as experience in the management of a hybrid environment.
• Solid experience and knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Good knowledge of networking principles.
• Prior experience working in a fast paced, enterprise environment. 

The role has a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 3 days work in their offices based in Docklands, Melbourne.
