The opportunity

Do you enjoy bringing people together and creating long-lasting connections? Greater Western Water is seeking a passionate Engagement & Events Coordinator.  Join our team and make a splash in shaping our reputation

Working in a supportive team, you will help develop and deliver high-impact events and engagement initiatives that make a real difference.  You will play an active role in the planning and executing successful events that resonate with our diverse community, key business, government stakeholders and internal clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate and support community engagement activities and implementation of communications and engagement plans.
  • Provide advice on community engagement approaches and activities.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate a range of events including service delivery partner events and joint sector events.
  • Support the development of high-quality and audience appropriate communication materials for engagement activities and events.
  • Manage project budgets effectively including purchasing, forecasting and accruals processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in event planning and community engagement activities
  • Diploma qualification in event management, communication, marketing or demonstrated equivalent experience would be ideal.
  • Engaging people and stakeholder skills complemented by great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional planning and organising skills, with focus on customer centric outcomes and delivering on set project outcomes.
  • This role will require the successful candidate to undertake a Working with Children Check (WWWC).
  • A current valid Victorian driver’s licence as there will be a requirement to travel to and set-up events sites.
