Position: Psychologist

Salary: Up to $140,000pa + Super DOE

Employment Type: Full Time/ Part Time

Are you a dedicated psychologist with a passion for helping individuals with disabilities?

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to join our clients team and provide expert consultation, intervention, and support to clients with complex needs, enabling them to participate fully in life.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Provide psychological assessment, intervention, and behaviour support.
  • Create NDIS behaviour support plans with evidence-based, proactive strategies.
  • Collaborate with disability services supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
  • Assist clients in achieving their vocational goals and plans.
  • Conduct supported living assessments and collaborate on outcomes.
  • Plan, monitor, and review client progress.
  • Perform psychometric, behavioural, and functional assessments.
  • Complete reports and achieve goals within NDIS plans.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Completion of Positive Approach to Behaviour Support Core Standard (within the past 5 years or willing to obtain).
  • Relevant degree in Psychology with full AHPRA registration.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Restricted Practice Authorisation (RPA) process.
  • NDIS registered Behaviour Therapist or ability to obtain.
  • Understanding of legislation, policies, and procedures affecting disability services.
  • Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check.
  • Current membership with the Psychology Board of Australia (highly recommended).

Experience:

  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
  • 1+ years of experience in delivering positive behaviour support.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
  • Previous NDIS-related experience.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide services based on client's NDIS goals and funding.
  • Capacity to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Efficient and effective caseload management.
