Location: North Sydney Head Office preferred (or any NSW site)
Salary Package: $75k - $90k + Super + Bonus
Role Highlights: Take ownership of the WHS systems and work closely with teams across Australia to drive a culture of safety and compliance. You’ll play a hands-on role in managing, refining, and optimizing safety systems in alignment with ISO 45001 standards.

Role Overview:

This newly created role as Health & Safety Systems Coordinator is perfect for a junior safety professional looking to grow in WHS systems and compliance. 

Reporting to the Head of Safety, you’ll be at the core of a transformation, championing the Safety Management System (SMS) and supporting the rollout of our WHS Framework. 
In this role, you’ll help build, sustain, and improve safety processes, working alongside our operational teams to enhance the safety systems that support our people and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the subject matter expert (SME) for the SMS and other WHS systems, guiding best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in developing the WHS Framework, collaborating with Safety, HR and site teams to align training and compliance efforts.
  • Track, analyse, and report on WHS performance metrics, fostering a data-driven safety culture.
  • Engage in creative problem-solving to adapt systems for evolving site needs and business changes.
  • Support and train site teams, ensuring best practices are embedded across all levels.

Candidate Profile:

We’re seeking a proactive, systems-savvy safety professional who is ready to take ownership and become the expert on the Safety Management System and make an impact as the company continues its growth journey. 
You have experience with safety systems, a passion for compliance, and a collaborative approach to improving safety practices.

  • Cert IV in WHS (minimum); additional qualifications are a bonus
  • 1+ year experience in safety systems within manufacturing or similar environments
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and safety systems/software (DoneSafe, iAuditor, iLeader or similar)
  • A positive communicator who builds relationships and can manage diverse stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a knack for asking questions and understanding the “why” behind processes
