About the Role

Talent Insights is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Sydney CBD. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using APIs, BigQuery, GCP, Docker, and Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines to support business growth and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists and Engineering colleagues, to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on data engineering best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a Data Engineer or Machine Learning engineer role
  • Hands-on experience building APIs for data ingestion and working with cloud platforms, preferably BigQuery
  • Intermediate skills in SQL, Python, and data pipeline development, as well as experience with Git, CI/CD, and Docker
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $58-$70 per hour, including superannuation. Our hybrid work model allows you to spend one day in our Sydney CBD office and four days working from home. This role offers opportunities for growth and development within Talent Insights, with potential for longer-term or permanent work depending on performance and skills.
